(Please note that in order to read these post in the correct order you should begin at the bottom of the page and work your way up.)

I would like to tell you why I am making this trip to North Wales in the U.K.  This past April I received an email through my website (fabricart.net) inquiring about a set a red vestments.  The inquiry came from Rev. Peter Allsworth, a retired Anglican priest and his wife Debora Cotter.  They wanted to commission a chasuble and two dalmatics for St. Asaph's Cathedral in memory of their parents.  After a brief email exchange I was able to propose a design which they then approved.  When the question of shipping the vestments across the Atlantic came up, they said they would  like me to bring them over personally and be there for their dedication.  After speaking with the Archabbot I was able to accept their generous offer.  I will be leaving October 8th.  When I arrive in London, I will spend a couple days with my friend, Fr. Larry Milby, a priest from the Diocese of Buffalo now living in the U.K.  On October 11, I will take a train to North Wales.  While there I will be staying with Peter and Debbie.  The Mass at which the vestments are worn for the first time will be on Sunday, October 13.  By the way, there is a picture of some of these vestments at the top of this page.

Greeting,  I decided to create a blog/journal as a way of documenting my trip to North Wales and London this coming October.  As long as I have a wireless connection I will attempt to make a journal entry at the end of each day.  Then if you are interested, you could check in when you have time and see what I am up to.

In a future post I will explain the purpose of this trip in more detail.
